The sun was shining on our Primary 4 girls and boys on Saturday as they received their First Holy Communion in St Macartan's chapel, Aghadrumsee. The children represented themselves, their parents and the school so well and they read their prayers and sang brilliantly. We are very proud of each and every one of them.
Thank you to Fr Jim Moore for all his help in preparing the children for their sacrament, to Jenny Sheridan for reading in the mass, to Marian Reilly and Caolan Faux as Eucharistic Ministers and to Miss Murray for preparing the children with their final hymn and for organising the school choir and the music in the chapel.
Thank you also to all the Primary 3 parents and the wider school community who gave their time to organise and implement the Holy Communion Tea for the children and their families after mass. The children really loved having this time to spend together with their friends before heading off for their own celebrations.
