We have been making the most of the fine weather over the last few weeks, taking our maths lessons outdoors where possible. The children have loved their outdoor lessons and have been fully engaged with their learning. Primary 2 have continued to work on numbers within 20, using chalk to draw and number sets of pictures and gathering natural materials to demonstrate their knowledge of various numbers. Primary 3 have completed maths trails in pairs or small groups, solving addition and subtraction word problems, using their knowledge of mathematical vocabulary and their number grids to aid their problem solving skills.
